By age 21, Kyle Graves had already gained widespread recognition as an award-winning singer, songwriter, and guitarist.
Raised in Jayess, Mississippi, Graves began teaching himself to play guitar at age 13 and, by his senior year of high school, had established himself as a rising star in the Southwest Mississippi music scene.
While attending Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Graves joined with fellow musicians Ryan Purser, Joe Cranfield, and Wyatt Brady to form Four Way Stop, a retro-rock band specializing in "classically soaked rock 'n' roll."
The group's debut EP, Landmark Live Sessions, released worldwide November 17, 2020. Written by Graves and Purser, the record's opening track, "Wicked Woman," won the 2021 Josie Music Award for Rock Song of the Year, while the quartet as a whole received a nomination for Rock Group of the Year in 2021 and 2022.
Following their JMA win, the group took first place at Mississippi State University's Battle of the Bands competition, earning the opening slot at the prestigious Bulldog Bash outdoor concert event, performing ahead of Joshy Soul and country superstar headliner HARDY.
Since 2020, Graves has also lent his talents to singer/songwriter Cole Powell's studio band project, Southern Gentry Music Review, and appeared as a featured artist on Powell's solo track, "Stay (Begging You)" in 2021.
Graves's debut solo acoustic release, The Autumn Sessions, released worldwide March 8, 2022, peaking at #26 on the iTunes U.S. Singer/Songwriter chart. The record went on to earn a JMA nod for 2022 Male EP of the Year, while Graves received a nomination for Folk Artist of the Year.
After five years with Four Way Stop, Graves played his farewell show with the group in July 2023. That same month, he debuted with folk/rock group The Mile High Rangers, a new quartet comprising Graves, Michael Potts, Dax Smith, and fellow singer/songwriter Cole Hill.
Now residing in Hattiesburg, MS, Graves is scheduled to make his acting debut in The Band Forgettable, an indie drama film currently in post-production.
